WCM Integration between Liferay and Alfresco

Our team is currently considering integrating Liferay 6.1.0 CE and Alfresco 4.0 EE, and I wonder how the others have integrated the two regarding web content. I browsed the web and only found practical examples or mentions of integration, but could not get implementation information. Damned consulting companies and their fees: P.

These and other sources seem to use only Alfresco for DM. Is this a typical approach?

We follow this design, but it has reservations, such as creating portlets, which are already available in LR OOTB.

So LR is a presentation layer for web content and for supporting portlet support. All web content will be managed by Alfresco as it has the best workflow features. For example, in Liferay, all web content is limited to a single workflow. In Alfresco, the user can select various workflows based on the type of content. We are limited in that our internal users use one tool to manage all documents and content, otherwise the buy-in will fail.

Barriers ...

We can search for Alfresco content, but what is the best way to map it to a friendly LR URL? Creating a custom dimension to store this link in Alfresco would be a nightmare for maintenance.
