The requested resource is unavailable

I just started learning Spring MVC 3 and I have a problem right from the start with starting a simple world welcome program

I'm trying to run this one , but for some reason I can't

I keep getting this error

type Status report

message /

description The requested resource (/) is not available.

Here is my servlet-context.xmlfile

    public String home() {
        return "WEB-INF/views/home.jsp";

I am using Tomcat 7.

Does anyone know what a coincidence of this error is?

@Tenelope you don’t need to return "WEB-INF/views/home.jsp";, you can just return "home"how you configured it in the servlet context:

    <beans:bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver">
        <beans:property name="prefix" value="/WEB-INF/views/" />
        <beans:property name="suffix" value=".jsp" />
    </beans:bean>

My advice to you would be to download the spring source (eclipse like IDE):

http://www.springsource.org/springsource-tool-suite-download

File > New > Spring Template Project > Spring MVC project

, , ( , , , pom.xml ..). "/", . tomcat - .

, , .

Btw. :

https://github.com/SpringSource/spring-mvc-showcase/blob/master/MasteringSpringMVC3.pdf?raw=true

, spring MVC.
