Sysuptime in snmp

Question

I am trying to send trap messages through SNMP.

In the examples on the net, setting the value to "sysUpTime" is mentioned, but they lack explanation. What is the role of sysUpTime in this context?

sysUpTime is the time (in hundredths of a second), since the network management part of the system was last reinitialized.
