What can be done that Authlogic cannot do?

The rails community seems to be leaving Authlogic in favor of Devise. I have been using Authlogic for over a year and want to know what is the reason. Is it just marketing, or is there a good reason for this? I used Devise and prefer Authlogic at the moment, but if there is good reason to make a switch, I would.

I read a little about Devise, but I don’t see where the excitement comes from. The main reason I like the Devise idea is related to community support - with this post stackoverflow has 605 questions for Authlogic and 2580 for Devise.

Any input is welcome.
