What regular expression does the browser use to type HTML5 = url?

I am working on an HTML5 polyfill input template, and I am trying to check the input type = url in JavaScript just like a browser (Chrome), but cannot find any documentation for JavaScript or a PERL-compatible regular expression. Since this is a polyfill, I don’t really mind if it exactly matches all the URLs (which is impossible), but rather imitates the operation of the browser.

Does anyone know of an identical pattern in PERL syntax?

Read the relevant specification at http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/forms.html#url-state-(type=url) :
