Hibernation exception Null has been assigned to a property of primitive type

Has an unpleasant problem with Hibernate 3.6.9. MS SQL Server 2008. Note the exception and reference to the index column.

HQL query itself:

Select r from DataStoreReference r join fetch r.container c where r.hash=:hash and r.state=0

Now I will understand this logically (and from googling), if the following were incorrect

a) after each instance of the DataStoreReference, setUsage of System.currentTimeMillis soon follows) b) the element is marked non-null in the display (see below) c) the exported table shows zeros only in the f_external column. The usage column has quite reasonable long numbers.

POJO:

DataStoreReference

private long id;

private String hash;
private long date;
private long sze;
private long usage;

private int state;
private String external;
private DataStoreContainer container;

followed by common unmodified getters / setters.

not-null property , . not-null dmd. f_usage t_dsref, , ( desc t_dsref sql).

: Exchange long with Long:

Such errors occur in Hibernate when you use primitive types for some columns, but these fields have zero value in the database. solutions:

Solution: use the Wrapper classes (Integer for int ...) solution Two: defining default values for columns.
