Initializer or Gem not loaded by Unicorn causing 500 internal server errors

I am deploying my application on Ubuntu VPS. I followed railscast for deployment on the VPS.

Everything went smoothly until I added the following stone: https://github.com/marceldegraaf/sisow

On my local development machine, it works like a charm, but after I deployed it in my production environment, the rails application will no longer start (500 Internal Server Error).

I tried several “settings” for my unicorn configuration, deploy.rb and several other files, but nothing works.

The strange thing is that when I use:

RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rails c

I can use the stone without any problems (?)
