What does the name of the "crt" Turbo Pascal block mean?

"Cathode X-ray tube"? "C RunTime"? It doesn't really matter to me; something else?

You are right, this is the Cathode Ray Tube. Something from the past already :) The most common type of display until 2005.

Most of the functions in the CRT block are related to entering text mode and color adjustment, the only “interesting” things that can be performed on older non-graphic displays with preliminary VGA.
