I am trying to replace the Apparabric Windows Azure cache with the recently released role-based caching, which was introduced in the SDK in June 2012 following the guidelines on the Microsoft website.
However, when checking "Enable Caching (Preview)" in my web role, the emulator will not be able to successfully create a website (emulator log: http://pastebin.com/dwbDvak2 ). He seems to be stuck in some kind of loop. Disabling web role caching makes it work again. I got the same result after uninstalling all previous Azure SDKs and reinstalling version 1.7.
Visual Studio tells me that "role instances take longer than expected. Would you like to continue waiting?" [Well no]. Pressing the Yes button keeps him waiting and appears again and again.
Is there anyone who could know how to solve the problem described above, or perhaps try the new caching functionality of the web role and get its work in the azure emulator?

Thank.
Update:
I created a new solution and added only a simple MVC site, added a role on the Internet and turned on caching, and the same thing happened. So, I looked at the event viewer and found 3 entries related to the problem:
