Advantages of Tesla over GeForce

I read some information that I could find over the Internet about the differences between the two series of cards, but I cannot help but feel that they are somehow advertised. While the most powerful GeForce costs about $ 700, Tesla starting prices move around $ 2,500, which is very important.

While ECC memory, indicated between the main advantages, is interesting, I doubt that it takes this difference into account. The second most noticeable thing is the much better performance for double-precision numbers, but I will focus mainly on entire operations, so that doesn't really matter much. Top GeForce cards also have a lot of memory. Although both series use GDDR5, the memory bandwidth of GeForce is even higher than that of Tesla.

Does anyone have personal experience comparing these 2 episodes objectively? Because I think that most of this Tesla value is related to premium tools and support, not their performance.

This answer might be outdated since it has been a year or two since I worked at GPGPU. However, when Tesla was first released, they were the only cards that initially supported full double-precision computing for all operations. While GeForce cards listed many double-precision calculations.
