Failed to view asp.net web service (.asmx) using browser after installation in IIS

what

I created a very simple asp.net web service using the .NET framework 3.5, it stopped working when I tested it with the unit test. Now I want to host it in IIS, for this I have prepared a web configuration project for it .

And they added content files and the initial output of the web service project after installing this and testing on iis.

Problem

When I try to start webservice using a browser, I get the following error

HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error The requested page is not available because the configuration data associated with it is invalid for the page.

What have i tried? I tried changing the security permissions for IIS_Users to allow reading to write everything, tried changing the version of the application pool while I was trying to use the default version of .NET Framework 4.

Cheats I think main.config is the main culprit, so I insert it here ...

  </connectionStrings>

Unfortunately, I had to reinstall IIS and then install the web service again, but this time I needed to enable directory browsing, and now the web service works fine!

Try disconnecting

WSUS (Windows Server Update Services). You can disable WSUS compression by running the following command on the server

% windir% \ system32 \ inetsrv \ appcmd.exe set config -section: system.webServer / httpCompression / - [name = 'xpress']
