Is www subdomain practice good?

I know that it is good practice to have your site completely "http: // www" or http: //, and I also know that www is just a subdomain.

The main question I have is which one would be the best choice ? I am setting up htaccess for one of my servers right now and cannot decide to redirect all traffic to the www subdomain. (I know how to do this, by the way.)

This is just the best question. I see that big guys like Google and Amazon are going to the www subdomain, but that doesn’t sound necessary to me - I don’t want to miss anything.

However, for shorter domain names, add www. sometimes it looks better visually. A kind of interior design where you need to have an odd number of items. For example, www.xyzjk.comit looks very symmetrical and there are 3 pairs of characters (odd). I think that’s why google uses www.google.com, not google.com.

Another thing is that on some CMS or in forums, URLs must start with http://or www., which need to be converted to an interactive hyperlink. To possibly get additional inbound links, you might prefer www.
