Playback in Kinect Studio without connecting a sensor

I would like to know if anyone was able to play the recordings from Kinect Studio (.XED files) if the Kinect Sensor is not connected to the computer or if it is possible? Playback works as expected when the sensor is connected.

A quick Google search did not bring many results, and all I can find in the documentation is this:

"Kinect Studio should be used in conjunction with the Kinect for Windows application."

For those who are wondering why: I am leaving for a week when I can’t take the sensor, but I want to continue development - I was hoping that I could make a set of records to see me in a week ...

Refer to this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh855396.aspx It says:

There are four states in which the KinectStudio tool can be in:

Disconnected, no open file - inactive Disconnected, open file - play the file in Kinect Studio Connected, no open file - mirror the output of the Kinect-enabled application sensor in Kinect Studio and record it Connected, the file is open - can play the file in the Kinect-enabled application.

I was able to play my recorded data (.xed file) through the kinect studio without the kinect sensor.
