How compatible is Chau Chee Yang dbExpress and XE2 Enterprise dbExpress for Firebird?

I am using Delphi 2010 Professional, which does not come with the dbExpress driver for Firebird. If I start using the Firebird dbExpress driver written by Chau Chee Yang and then later upgrade to XE ?? Will the company (which comes with the dbExpress Firebird driver) work with code only?

It lists support for delphi XE2 in the version 4 change list.
