Android VideoView error (1.16) and shows a black screen

I have an application with VideoView that plays mp4 file from internal storage (directory of my packages files)

On some Samsung Epic Touch 4g (Galaxy SII) devices, the screen is completely black instead of the video shown. Everything else in my application behaves and responds normally, so the device does not "freeze" at all, it just displays only on the screen, not on the video.

To start my video, I use the onPreparedListener callback to make a start () call:

mVideoView.setOnPreparedListener(new MediaPlayer.OnPreparedListener() {
    @Override
    public void onPrepared(MediaPlayer arg0) {
        mVideoView.start();
    }
});

and I set the video to be played using this call:

//file is the reference to my video File object.

mVideoView.setVideoPath(file.getAbsolutePath());

I have an onErrorListener like this:
