Java.lang.NullPointerException in getapplicationContext () when adapter starts

When starting a project on an Android emulator, I encounter an exception like java.lang.NullPointerException in getApplicationContext. Please help me solve this problem.

Do not initialize it before OnCreate(), you cannot get context with it, do it in OnCreate().

private globalAdapter adpt;

@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setContentView(R.layout.loading);
    adpt  = ((globalAdapter)getApplicationContext());
    ...
}

1. Do not initialize the following before onCreate, let the views first get their identifiers

private globalAdapter adpt = ((globalAdapter)getApplicationContext());
private String ServicePath = adpt.getServicePath();
private String ServiceName = adpt.getServiceName();

2. Just announce them ....

private globalAdapter adpt;
private String ServicePath;  
private String ServiceName;

3.. , , , getApplicationContext() .
