Maya animation rendering on Android?

I was able to import 3D models from Maya into OBJ files, which, in turn, are read by my Android application. Now this model can be displayed, and I can apply transformations on them, even on objects with a large number of polygons, which is nice.

The next step is to find out if there is a reasonable way to display the animation defined in Maya. I really have no idea how to approach this, and my initial research on this issue was essentially empty.

Has anyone tried to do this before? If so, how does it work?
