R.java file is not generated for new Android projects in eclipse and Android studio. This happened after I updated
Android SDK Tools -> 24.4.1 (latest version)
Android SDK Platform-tools -> 23.1 (latest version)
Android SDK Build-tools -> 23.0.2 (latest version)
Before that, I don’t remember which versions I used, but Eclipse and Android Studio worked fine.
I searched for R.java not generated on top of stackoverflow and some other websites, but my problem is not fixed.
I tried Project → Clean and build did not work, and also deleted gen / folder and build, but R.java was not generated anyway.
Tried to check errors in xml names and data for errors, but could not find them.
Also tried right-clicking on MyProject -> properties -> Java Build Path . All libraries are checked.
