You can use ExternalProject_Addfor this, since it allows you to download, configure and build gmock from your project build tree, and then a link to the gmock libraries.
@arrowdodger's answer is probably the more common way to do this. Using your method, usually you do not have gmock sources in the assembly tree. It can be good or bad depending on what you want.
