The difference between “When work succeeds” and “When work ends”,

What is the difference between the job notification settings "When the job succeeds" and "When the job is completed." In appearance, I assume that the option “When the task is completed” includes both successes in the work and failures of the work, while the option “When the task is completed successfully” covers only when the work is completed successfully. Is it correct?
