I have a Visual Studio solution consisting of about 100 projects. Most of them form a hierarchy of dependencies. Now, if I changed one .cs for a project and built it, all dependent projects will also be built - regardless of whether they were changed or not. Is there a way to force Visual Studio to create only modified projects? I spend minutes every time I make small changes, rebuilding my whole life. This adds a lot of time!
No, there is no good way to do this. Sometimes there is some incremental build (Visual Studio 2010 or newer), but there are no guarantees.
