Can an excel cell contain an image

Question

I was able to insert an image into excel. but could not insert the image into the cell.

Can I insert an image into an excel cell so that it is in the form of a thumbnail and stretched by drag and drop.

I would not say that this is impossible, but there are limitations.

You can assign an image to a cell.

Select an image through Insert-Insert → Image and paste it into the worksheet.

Now make the desired cell so large that it can fit your reduced size and resize the image inside excel.
