Jenkins server is unavailable by host name and IP address

I installed Jenkins on a MAC Machine, I can access it using localhost:8080, as well as using, 127.0.0.1:8080from my MAC machine. Now, if I try to access it using the host name or IP address, it does not connect.

I tried the following options:

• --httpListenAddress=$HTTP_HOST

• I referred to this post Jenkins Server is unreachable by hostname (ip address) . But I do not have a /Users/admin/Library/LaunchAgents/homebrew.mxcl.jenkins.plistJenkins related file .
