Visual Studio 2012 XAML Designer Vertical Split cannot be installed by default?

Is there only Horizontal Splita default and not Vertical Split? Again or are my eyes going bad? This was a problem in VS2008 and VS2010, when it was for each file, so nothing has changed?

There is currently no way to default vertical split for the XAML designer in VS2012.

As you mentioned, the only way at this point is to use it for each file, as these settings are stored together in your .suo file.

This applies to VS08 and VS10 or VS12 ...
