"Failed to open the log / dev / log / main error?"

I am using the rooted galaxy s2 4.0.3, and recently I was trying to write an Android app. I tried using logcat in eclipse and printed the following answer:

unable to open log device 'dev/log/main' No such file or directory

I went through the answers on the forum; Some wrote to change files in a folder init.d, but I don’t have such a folder. I do not use Huawei, so the special code will not help here. I even tried installing logcat applications on my device, but they didn't work either!

Please inform.
