Identify users registered through FB Mobile Installation Ad

We (the company I work for) launch several advertising campaigns for Facebook mobile devices. We have integrated the FB iOS SDK with our iOS application. Based on this, Facebook gives us a general installation of applications in advertising campaign reports (those users who clicked on the ad were redirected to the Apple App Store and finally installed the application). So far so good.

Now I was asked (by our CEO) if there was a chance that we would not only get the total number of applications for each campaign, but rather tick all the users in our database if they registered through the (specific) installation of the FB advertising campaign application.

However, since - a) the FB does not provide a list of FB user IDs (which can be mapped to user IDs from registering applications through FB) and
 - b) you can also install our application and then register by email (and not through FB)
I I don’t see how it should work.

Now my question is: did I miss something? Does anyone know how this should work out?
