Automatically delete git branch after merge to master

We will try to execute the workflow on github, where each ticket is a branch from the wizard.
After the application is completed, the work is combined into a stage where regression and integration tests are performed before it is combined with the main one.

The team leader raised the issue of old ticket branches after the start of the merger.

I found this script and want to know if this will work in our environment. We want to remove only those branches that have been merged into master.
