Can balls and sockets be used in EA class diagrams?

Ball and socket designation is legal UML 2.0, but I cannot find a way to get EA to draw it on the chart. He refuses to resolve the relationship between the socket and the ball. Is there a way to do this, as in the diagram below (small mask for masks):

Also, a side question, can you make a ball or nest on the other side of the element?
