What is the easiest way to use vertical and horizontal separation in Visual Studio at the same time?

As can be seen in the screenshot below, marked with red arrows:

If I use Vertical Tab Splitsubwindow, I lose the ability to split insert another tab and split it horizontally. Is there any addon or parameter that I can change to be able to insert my code tabs in the form of a rectangular grid?

Just to clarify - I do not want to see the same file contents twice. I want each tab to show a different file. I can not find the reason why such a simplification of the idea was introduced.

I know that this can be solved by opening many standalone windows, but this is hardly the answer for me.
