Using the Task class in powershell

I am trying to use the Task class in Powershell to start an operation asynchronously. But Im gets the following exception:

PowerShell Taskwill require a lot of work to work. TaskPowerShell is too large a low-level construct to work directly with.

Use jobs asynchronously to perform PowerShell operations .
