How to add a widget to Android 4.2 emulator?

I recently downloaded the Android SDK and ran Android 4.2 on an emulator. However, I see no way to add a widget to my home screen. (I can’t even add a default widget).

I remember on Android 2.2, a long press on the screen will bring up a context menu that will make it possible to add a widget. I did not find any option in the new emulator.

How to add a widget to Android 4.2 emulator?

You need to open the application screen to scroll until you go to the widgets section. pull out the desired widget from there and add it to the desired desktop.
