Kivy hello world is not working

I am trying to get kivy to work on my Ubuntu system. I followed the instructions from wesbite .

But when I try to run the following hello world code from my site:

import kivy
kivy.require('1.5.1') # replace with your current kivy version !

from kivy.app import App
from kivy.uix.button import Button

class MyApp(App):
    def build(self):
        return Button(text='Hello World')

if __name__ == '__main__':
    MyApp().run()

I get the following error:

[INFO   ] Kivy v1.5.1

Does it have anything to do with my graphics card? I am using an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 graphics card.

Finally, he started working by upgrading Ubuntu to 12.10. Looks like the problem was in the graphics driver. Now the example works as expected. Thanks Qiongjie and qua-non.
