What does tipbot mean in LCML?

I often see tip-bot for XXXin LKML (list of Linux mailboxes). Such letters often consist of commit.

I searched around and still can't find what tip-bot means. Can anyone help explain this?

tip-botis an automated script that notifies LKML(the Linux kernel mailing list) whenever a specific code or patch breaks into several branches supported by Peter Anvin, Thomas Glakner and Ingo Molnar, I think that tipapplies to tip trees.
