Java.lang.RuntimeException: Application "org.eclipse.ui.ide.workbench" not found in the registry

I am using Eclipse v21.10.1-569685 and JDK version 1.7.0_13-b20. When I downloaded the new updates (Help-> Install New Software), after that Eclipse asked me to restart the software, but I encountered this error:

OK thanks to everyone for finding a solution that was as follows:

  • Control Panel → View advanced system settings and rarr; Advanced tabs → Environment variables.

  • Now you need to do 2 things:

    • Create a new variable (click "Create"):

      • Variable Name: JAVA_HOME
      • Variable Value: C:\Program Files\Java\[your Java Version]

    • Path :

      ;%JAVA_HOME%\bin

Maybe eclipse -clean will help? First, remove the adt plugin from Help-> Install-> What is already Installed, the second install adt from the Marketplace, use Eclipse for Java or C ++ developers (this is with the Java schema).
