Sharepoint 2013 user site template does not appear on subsidiary site

I have a sharepoint 2013 sub site called "projects" where all of its projects are children that were created by the site template.

I wanted to make changes to the template in order to create a new “project” using the template, making changes and saving this sub site as a new site template.

Now, when I try to create new project subsites, I see only the old site template, but I do not see the new one.

I checked the gallery of solutions, and they both appear there in an active state.

Any ideas what went wrong here?

Thank.

The option for this parameter no longer exists. I don’t know since when, but I had the same problem, which did not allow using a custom template for a new collection of sites. -Template is present in the solution gallery -The "Component" tab is not displayed when I want to select a template for a newly created site - In the site settings of the newly created site there is no option "Page layouts and site templates" in the "Appearance and Style" section
