This question is related to this question . answer shows a very good way to extrude polygons with holes (see a great live example ). The main study of the answer was that paths in three .js (r58) cannot have more than one moveTo command and must be at the beginning of the path, which means that the path must be split by moveTos, so moveTo start is always a new path.
Extrusion in three.js means that 2D paths are converted to 3D shapes using a possible bevel. It is suitable for extruding texts to create three-dimensional letters and words, but can also be used to extrude custom paths.
Now two questions arise:
- How can I handle polygons with multiple hole polygons and multiple non-point polygons?
- How can I add texture to the generated shape as a whole?
