How to get SSL certificate for Azure Cloud Service

I have a cloud cloud service (WebRole) and I want to purchase an SSL certificate.

What are the technical requirements for acquiring this certificate? An SSL provider, such as godaddy, offers a 256-bit encryption certificate, but the Azure documentation states that the certificate should use at least 2048-bit encryption , I do not provide this length.
