MySQLSyntaxErrorException: XYZ table does not exist

I use JPA and c3p0 and try to query the table and return the stack trace, claiming the table does not exist. I can open a connection with db in, for example, DbVisualizer, and look at the table there. In fact, the debug statements from my application show that he is able to establish a connection and test its viability. But then he does not find the table.

What I consider suspicious is part of the hibernation request, where it tries to request select ... from reportsDb.alerts alert0_- how can I confirm that “reportsDb” actually means my data source, which I used in applicationContext.xml?
