What are the security implications for placing signed banners on the Internet?
As I understand it, signing a jar as soon as the user decides to automatically accept the certificate does not matter if the signed bank came from your domain, connected to another domain or hosted in another domain. For example, Sun uses this method to support OpenGL applets by providing a (hosted) signed jar that references the driver. So, are there any precautions that I have to do as a developer and signer of the java code certificate that I provide?
