I am using Eclipse 3.4.2 and just installed the Android SDK plugin for eclipse. But after installation, when I started eclipse, I get an error message

I solved the problem by reinstalling eclipse, not what I wanted, but I will go with it at this point.

A number of people reported similar problems . There are several suggestions in this thread, but no final solutions. Only one of the suggestions worked for me - this is a way to return the eclipse to its previous state from the command line. This comes from this blog post .

:

  • , eclipse
  • ls -lt p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.engine/profileRegistry/<som_profile_name>.profile/
