Do I need to install a TFS power tool if I am using VS 2010

I look at the list here Team Foundation Server Power Tools March 2011 and I wonder if this is useful for my case - m using Visual Studio 2010 as a TFS client tool for connecting to TFS servers; I do not have access to TFS servers.

It bothers me - features like 1) Team Foundation Server Backups, 2) Process Editor, 3) Work item templates, etc. these are those related to the server side of the TFS, and not at all to the client side.

Thus, I think this tool is both a server side tfs tool and a tfs client tool.

If you know it clearly, share it. Thank!

Ps. They said they have Windows Explorer, which is pretty cool: I like checking the data file / xml / image without opening the IDE.

Yes, they are useful if you intend to work with TFS for version control. Your main IDE can be Visual Studio, and if you use the Team Explorer window in VS, then you also use TFS in the background. In this case, power tools are a big help.

If you are not using TFS, TFS power tools are useless to you.

Integration with Explorer - this is the same integration that TortoiseSVN has - overlays icons and the context menu of the context menu, only for TFS.
