Does anyone have a reliable FTP method for EC2 instances for Windows 2008? I had a good job after I had a lot of online guides from other users. Then it began to deteriorate, periodically displaying the message "Error receiving directory error." The entrance was still in order. Now the error is permanent, and I can’t update my website.
Amazon, of course, will not respond to any emails unless I have a support package, but they do not have documentation on setting up FTP on their servers.
I used the old FTP based on IIS6 - when I was able to connect and when it stopped working, I tried the new FTP 7, as described here: http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/263/installing-and-configuring -ftp-on-iis-7 /
Now I can’t connect to the server at all, not to mention getting a list of directories.
Please, someone will come to the rescue!
My default security group has ports 20 and 21 for my IP address. According to the above article, I have ports 4900-4910 open for 0.0.0.0/0
My client is FileZilla, using FTPS (there was only FTP with the IIS6 FTP server), a connection with a passive return to active.
