Has anyone managed to debug C ++ in Eclipse?

I wanted to switch from Visual Studio 2008 to Eclipse Helios for C ++ dev. I tried on a Mac and found a lot of instability during debugging. Then I tried Linux and similar. This is the last issue I found:

At the moment, I'm going to abandon the eclipse. I would just like to know how many of you have managed to use the Eclipse Helios CDT to debug C ++ programs, or if I'm just a damn isolated case, before I refuse or keep trying to move forward.
