Preparing installers suitable for deploying Microsoft System Center

Update: March 24, 2011: I just wanted to add that now I look at WIX, and it looks great, I can very clearly see how to make a nice stylish MSI installer that should do everything we need. Thank you very much for the help you really appreciate.

We deploy the product with server and client components. The client is currently a VB6 application (yes, yes, I know ...), and it uses the InstallShield installer to create the EXE that we provide to the client for deployment and deployment on all of its workstations.

This is all wonderful and dandy when there are ten of them, but when there are 100 of them, they are, for obvious reasons, a little angry :)

Some of our customers use the Microsoft System Center to automate their software deployment, and they asked us to ensure our client is compatible with this so that they can automatically deploy.

I have no experience with System Center, so when I try to create my own experience, I thought that I would write a question here and see if some of you experts would help speed up the process.

Basically, what do I need to create to install an installer that is suitable for deployment automatically through Microsoft System Center?

I think I still understood that it should be an EXE, MSI or MSP.
