Eclipse galileo freezes when opening a large xml file

I have an Eclipse Galileo Build id: 20100218-1602.
I ran into a problem:

  • with some XML files, those with lines less than 12K (approximate) open without problems
  • but I have few files with 17K lines, the disk size is only 550KB, and one struts-config file is only 1600 lines, the file size is 115KB:
    When I try to open these 2, it took almost 15-20 minutes to open .

Any proposal will be evaluated so that it can open, like any regular files. (Java files or js files that have the same lines open without any crashes)
