What are hard errors in XPerf

I am trying to profile a system using XPerf. And look at performance issues when HardFaults has activity! Hard faults graph

But what I can not find and find on Google, what are these hard errors that xperf shows. What are they connected with? What do they indicate? Is there any universal remedy for such situations? Hard Crash Table
