I recently got this problem, and it could be due to what I installed on my machine. I can’t remember, though. From time to time I get a Microsoft.NET Framework message that appears on my computer and it tells me:
"An unhandled exception occurred in a component of your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and try to continue.
Failed to load file or assembly "Availability, Version = 2.0.0.0, Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken = b03f5f7f11d50a3a 'or one of its dependencies. This assembly name or code base"
I tried reinstalling the .net 4.0 framework. I can not find the framework.net 2.0 download to reinstall. I tried using gacutil / uf to force the dll to be deleted, but this will not work. I also checked where the dll Accessibility is installed, and compares it with other machines, and all the same as global.config and web.config.
This exception occurs not only for one process on my machine. Since this is a problem with my GAC, any application using this assembly throws the same exception.
