Facebook API: what language are the addresses in?

I searched the Facebook documentation but could find it. What language are the locations (e.g. for verification) in the Facebook API? In the application language, in the current user language, in the original language, or in the local language?

How can I be sure that locations always return, say, in English?

So Romareturns like Rome, Prahalike Pragueetc.

I do not think that's possible:

Editing a place page on facebook.com does not provide any internationalization options.
Translations, , Facebook , .
FQL place, locale display_subtext ()
Graph API user/checkins connection, locale, application.name ()
