Convert drupal database from mysql to postgresql?

For a large Drupal 6 site using mysql I am interested

Is it possible to convert to postgresql?
What are the advantages / disadvantages of using postgresql instead of mysql?
Is a conversion required?
What is the easiest way to do this?
