I thought I would ask the experts - see if you can help me: o) My son wrote C ++ code to detect collisions using the Brute Force and Octree algorithms.
He used Debug, etc. - and to collect statistics on memory usage, he used windows and a task manager, which gave him all the final results that he needs so far. The results are still not as expected (that Octree will use more memory in general).
His teacher suggested that he checks the memory as soon as each of them is “initialized”, and then plot at the test points.
He was directed towards Walgrind .... but he looked complicated and because he has autism, he is worried that he may influence his programs: o)
Does anyone suggest an easy way to capture memory information, if not also frame rate and CPU usage?
Any grateful thanks, since I don’t know anything, he can’t do anything about it except to type it here - as a “social” environment with which he can’t cope.
Thanks Rosalyn
